European Market Access

Entering the EU market requires more than just a vision. It demands compliance, credibility, and a local presence. Whether you're a manufacturer, exporter, or distributor from outside the EU, navigating complex regulations can be a barrier to growth.

We offer three strategic solutions to ensure your products meet EU requirements and reach customers smoothly:

EU Economic Operator

Why?

Starting from 13-Dec 2024 according to the General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988, it is requires to have an EU Economic Operator for any made-in-non-eu consumer products placing on the European market. This local presence ensures accountability and tracebility. Without an appointed EU Economic Operator, your products may face custom delays, rejection, or removal from the market even if they meet all safety standards.

What?

An EU Economic Operator acts as your official representative within the European Union, serving as a bridge between your business and EU market surveillance authorities. The Operator verifies that your product documentation, safety information, and traceability systems are compliant with EU requirements. They are responsible for keeping technical files available, communicating with authorities, and supporting product recalls or corrective actions when necessary. In short, they ensure that your products meet all EU consumer safety obligations and remain legally marketable.

How?

Hakada acts as your EU Economic Operator, providing a registered address within the EU and handling all communication with local authorities on your behalf. Out team ensures that your documentation, labelling, and traceability processes comply fully with the GPSR. We help you enter the EU market confidently - safely, legally, and efficiently - without the need to establish your own EU entity.

EU Authorised Representative

Why?

Under Article 4 of the EU Regulation (EU) 2019/1020, non-EU manufacturers placing CE-marked products on the European market must appoint an EU Authorised Representative (EU AR). This requirement ensures that every regulated product has a responsible contact within the EU to liaise with authorities and demonstrate compliance. Without an appointed EU Authorised Representative, your CE-marked products — such as electronics, medical devices, machinery, or toys — cannot legally be sold in the EU and may be stopped at customs or removed from the market.

What?

An EU Authorised Representative acts as your official legal representative within the European Union for all matters related to product conformity. They hold the EU Declaration of Conformity and the technical documentation, and communicate with market surveillance authorities on your behalf. The Authorised Representative ensures that your products carry the correct CE marking and meet all applicable EU directives and regulations. In essence, they guarantee that your products remain fully compliant and traceable throughout their lifecycle in the EU market.

How?

At Hakada, we serve as your EU Authorised Representative, providing a registered EU address and managing all regulatory correspondence. Our expert team reviews your CE documentation, verifies compliance with relevant EU directives, and ensures your technical files are audit-ready. We act as your trusted link with European authorities — allowing you to maintain compliance and market presence without setting up an entity in the EU.

Only Representative (for REACH)

Why?

According to the REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, non-EU chemical manufacturers who export substances or mixtures into the EU must appoint an Only Representative (OR). This ensures that chemical products meet strict EU safety and environmental standards before entering the European market. Without an Only Representative, importers must assume all REACH obligations — often making it impossible for non-EU companies to sell their chemicals directly to European customers.

What?

An Only Representative acts as your legal entity in the EU for REACH compliance, taking over all importer responsibilities. They manage the registration of chemical substances, maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and handle communication with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). The OR ensures your substances are registered, evaluated, and compliant with EU chemical safety requirements — protecting both your market access and your brand reputation.

How?

As your Only Representative, Hakada manages the complete REACH registration process on your behalf. We take care of dossier submissions, compliance documentation, and communication with ECHA and EU authorities. We ensure your substances and mixtures are fully aligned with REACH requirements, enabling you to export to the EU confidently, efficiently, and without regulatory obstacles.
